Our promise

Every customer is our only customer

A home modification is personal. Behind every ramp and every bathroom is a person with their own needs, routines, worries and pride. We take the time to listen, we explain every step in plain language, and we build around the person, not a template. That care is the part of our work we are proudest of.

We listen firstBefore we measure anything, we ask how the home is used today and what would make life easier.
We respect the homeClean work areas, a safe way in and out every day, and care for everything that is not part of the job.
We explain everythingFamilies, coordinators and payers get the same clear scope, schedule and photos at every step.
We finish what we promiseFinal walk-through with the family, sign-off, and a one-year workmanship warranty.

What a bathroom safety modification can include

  • Durable, easy-to-clean tubs and showers
  • Anti-scald valves and easy-to-reach controls
  • Sealed wall panels in place of broken tile
  • Slip-resistant flooring and level thresholds
  • Grab bars, safe mirrors and fixtures
  • Permits, inspections and licensed plumbing

Every job is built to the person's own evaluation and approval. Nothing is added that the family or the program did not agree to.

AB Access

How an accessibility job works

Every job follows the same path, and families, case managers and payers can follow along in our job portal.

  1. Referral

A case manager, coordinator, health plan or family contacts us.

  2. Home visit

We measure every room and entry involved and photograph existing conditions.

  3. Itemized quote

Written to the evaluator's specifications and the program's rules.

  4. Approval

The payer authorizes the work. Nothing starts before approval.

  5. Install

Scheduled with the family, with progress photos posted to the portal.

  6. Sign-off & billing

Walk-through, after photos, sign-off, then we bill the payer.

Who pays for it?

Most families don't pay out of pocket

Home modifications are often covered by a program or health plan. Tell us who supports you and we'll help you figure out the rest.

Not sure which applies to you? Call us, we'll walk you through it.

Questions families ask

Simple answers

Does the home visit cost anything?

No. We come out, listen, measure and take photos at no charge.

Will you work with my support coordinator or case manager?

Yes. We work with coordinators, care managers, evaluators and health plans every day, and keep everyone updated in our job portal.

I'm a support coordinator. Where do I send the evaluation?

Use the secure upload link for the job. Sign in with the Client login, open the participant's job and click Upload documents securely under Documents to add the OT/PT evaluation, approval letter, SDR or prior authorization. Please don't email evaluations or post health details in the portal. New referral? Send the referral first (initials only, no health details) and we'll open the job and send you the secure link.

When does the work start?

Only after the program or health plan approves it in writing. We'll tell you where things stand at every step.

Do I need to move out during the work?

Usually not. We keep a safe way in and out of the home and clean up every day.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. We are a registered New Jersey home improvement contractor (#13VH12878400), carry liability insurance, use licensed electricians and plumbers for that work, and are registered with a National Provider Identifier (NPI 1215831789) as a home modifications contractor.

Which areas do you serve?

New York City, the Hudson Valley, and northern and central New Jersey.
